Research and thesis work
Here we have collected useful information that should help you in your research.
TAUCHI research and you
We often have interns and research assistants who are also students working on our research projects. Many theses have been done in connection to our research projects.
We do research into new technologies such as smart objects and environments, gestural interfaces, gaze tracking, haptics, mixed reality, computer vision, speech-, context- or emotion-based interaction, virtual avatars, user experience and usability, etc. We are proud of our research and its results. Our basic research produces results that are applicable in general, when developing mainstream applications.
General advise on research
When you know what you need, but cannot seem to find it
Often you do not find a paper even by using the right keywords. It is always good idea to try finding an older research paper on the topic (or close to it) and check what newer studies cite it.
Experts who can help
If you are looking for an expert of a specific area, such as gaze tracking, go to https://research.uta.fi/tauchi and look for the research group (e.g. Multimodal Interaction Research Group (MMIG)) and people. There you will find links to experts profile pages, that list their expertise.
