Tampere HTI Programme
Your one stop to all the information you need regarding the HTI Programme in Tampere
“It’s not enough that we build products that function, that are understandable and usable, we also need to build products that bring joy and excitement, pleasure and fun, and yes, beauty to people’s lives.”
The HTI Programme is a collaboration between two universities in Tampere: The University of Tampere (UTA) and Tampere University of Technology (TUT).
HTI Program encapsulates two sides of technology that complement each other, the Human-Technology Interaction side (HTI) and the User Experience (UX). The focus of the programme differs according to which campus you choose as your home university. The programme at UTA focuses on the various forms of interaction between humans and different types of technology. On the other hand, the programme at TUT focuses on making interactions memorable through User Experience studies.
Each programme can be completed in two-years time, and both include a total of 120 ECTS/credit hours for the fulfilment of the degree. Regardless of the home university, courses are taken in both universities. In this way, students have the power to tailor their learning experience to fit their own unique study goals and career path.
HTI Programme Outcome
By combining HTI and UX, and by applying the right formula of what to use, how to use it, and when to use it, we can make the difference between a mediocre product that is soon forgotten and short-lived versus a superstar product or service that dominates the market on a worldwide scale.
After graduating from the HTI programme, students have a unique opportunity to be part of the people who design the future.
